On Thursday, Rep. Congressman Doc Hastings visited Laserfab's Moses Lake, WA facility for a tour and to learn more about the people and processes behind recent growth in Washington's rebounding economy.

Laserfab had a strong finish to 2011 after having added equipment, shifts, and the personnel to run them. Anticipating another year of strong growth in 2012 with record breaking sales and efficiencies, Laserfab is already in negotiations on a new laser for the Redmond plant. After installation, Laserfab will have a total of six high power lasers spread among three large facilities.

In addition to equipment and personnel, Hastings witnessed the processes Laserfab uses to achieve maximum output. The overall process incorporates a combination of equipment, plant layout, documentation, fine tuned scheduling, and training for employees to increase workflow. Cutting waste at all levels has been an important focus which has carried Laserfab through the tough economic times and will support the awesome growth today and in the days ahead.
